Parasols for homes and terraces

Centre-pole, side-pole and giant parasols for gardens, pools and commercial terraces, with your own logo, LED lighting and heaters as options.

Types

Three kinds of parasol

For homes, pools and gardens, and for restaurant, café and hotel terraces.

01

Centre-pole parasols

The classic: a canopy on a central pole in a weighted base or ground socket. Straightforward and sturdy, round or square, and the usual choice over a table.

  • CanopyRound, square or rectangular
  • PoleAluminium or wood
  • OpeningPush-up, crank or pulley
02

Side-pole (cantilever) parasols

The canopy hangs from an arm on a pole to one side, so the space beneath is clear. Ideal over sun loungers, sofas and pool edges. Many models rotate and tilt so you can follow the sun without moving the base.

Giant parasols

Large commercial parasols that can shade several tables from one pole, used on restaurant and hotel terraces. They need proper fixing and a plan for wind: they are sized and specified for the site.

Questions

Common questions

Centre-pole or side-pole parasol?

A centre-pole parasol is simple and sturdy and suits a table. A side-pole (cantilever) parasol hangs from an arm, so there is no pole in the middle, which suits sun loungers and seating areas. Many side-pole parasols also rotate and tilt to follow the sun.

What base does a parasol need?

Enough weight for its size and the exposure, or a socket set into the ground or a fixing plate. A large parasol on a light base is dangerous. We size the base with the parasol.

Can parasols stay open in the wind?

No. Every parasol has a wind limit and should be closed when the wind picks up, and taken down or secured for storms. On exposed sites, ask about the wind guidance for the specific model.
