Many commercial parasols can take lighting and heaters, so the same tables work for dinner and on cooler evenings. Options depend on the model; we specify them with the parasol.

Larger terraces

When a terrace needs more than parasols

For a hotel roof terrace or a restaurant that wants to trade in the shoulder months, a louvred pergola with zip screens or glass can turn outside seating into covered seating you can use far more of the year. Planning matters more here, so it is a conversation to have with your perit early.

Common questions

Can you put a new canopy on our existing parasols?

Often, yes, if the frames are sound and the model is known. Send us photos of the frames, the label if there is one, and the sizes, and we will tell you whether replacement canopies are possible.

What does the seasonal service include?

We tailor it to the terrace, but typically a check of frames, bases and mechanisms before the season, cleaning, taking parasols down and storing them over winter, and repairs after storms. Tell us how many parasols and awnings you have and we will put a plan together.

Do we need permission for parasols or awnings on a public pavement?

Tables, parasols and awnings on public land and on some buildings can need permits. Check with your local council and the relevant authority before you install. We can work alongside your perit.
