Privacy notice

What happens to the details you send us, in plain English.

Who we are

shade.mt is operated by Checkyourtraders Ltd (company registration C96484), 35 Strait Street, Valletta VLT 1434, Malta. Checkyourtraders Ltd is the controller of the personal data described here.

What we collect

Only what you give us in the enquiry form: your name, email address and phone number, your locality, the details of your space (products of interest, approximate measurements, setting, timeline and message), any photos you upload, and your consent. We do not ask for your full address until we arrange a survey.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, arrange a site survey, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, deliver the work. The legal basis is your request for a quote (steps taken at your request before entering into a contract) and your consent given on the form. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell them.

Where it goes

  • Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and stores form submissions, then emails them to us. Netlify acts as our processor under its data processing terms. It is based in the United States; transfers are covered by the safeguards in those terms.
  • Our email, where the enquiry is delivered and answered.
  • To price your project we may share the measurements and photos of your space, without your contact details, with the manufacturer or installer we are quoting with.

No analytics, no tracking

This site does not use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and the fonts are served from this site rather than a third party. Our host keeps standard server logs for security and operation.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any resulting project, and for any period the law requires afterwards, for example for accounting records. If nothing comes of an enquiry we delete it within 24 months.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to us at the address above, or reply to any email we have sent you. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to Malta’s Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC).
